FlexPort Universal Gage Interface FP-4U

The FlexPort Gage Interface simultaneously combines the signal from multiple tools and converts it to a standardized format (RS232 serial/USB) for populating any software package you choose. (SPC software packages have a driver for this format).

The front panel includes multiple data send LEDs to signal successful data transmission. The LEDs turn on when data is requested and automatically turn off when data has been sent.  Each port also includes a data send input jack for hand or footswitch contact closure.

The FlexPort offers 3 ways to request a reading to be sent to your PC:
- Data send jack (contact closure from hand or footswitch)
- Send button (on the gage or cable)
- PC host commands (before and/or after readings sent)
All requests can trigger a static or dynamic (TIR) reading, trigger all or any combination of ports, send serial requests to a gage, notify PC that a data request has occurred and many more features exclusive to the FlexPort line.

The FlexPort is available in 1, 2, 4, and 8 input versions, with Mitutoyo only or Universal (Digital and Serial) inputs and can easily send data to your data collection program. Data is sent to your PC via the included RS232 or USB cable to a communication port. Each input is identified with a channel number for easy identification and tracking. Multiple input FlexPorts include a Pass-Thru port (DB9M) that can connect to a serial gage and extract 1 to 10 readings from an output string. The Pass-Thru port can also be used as a backplane port to connect multiple interfaces using the standard cabling included with every unit.

You can mix digital, analog and remote display interfaces for up to 99 inputs. Whether you need to recall a stored reading or need to capture multiple readings per second, no other interface compares to the speed and flexibility of the FlexPort Gage Interface.
