FlexPort Single Input Gage Interface FP-1M

The FlexPort FP-1M accepts the signal from Mitutoyo and digimatic output devices and converts it to a standardized format (RS232 serial) sending the readings to your computers communication port (serial port). Regardless of the format of the reading, the FlexPort FP-1M will format the reading into a standard format.  Since we work with most SPC vendors, most software packages have a driver for this format.  Programs running on the computer grab this reading and place it into your software for error free data entry.

Sending data to your computer is easy. 

The FlexPort FP-1M offers four ways to request a reading to be sent to your PC:
- Send button (on the gage or cable)
- Send button (on the front of FlexPort FP-1M)
- Data send jack (contact closure from hand or footswitch)
- PC host commands (send host commands to request a reading)

The front of the FP-1M allows users to plug in standard 10 pin cables for Mitutoyo and digimatic output devices.  For the port, a data send button and data send input jack as well as a data send LED is provided.  The LED turns on when data is requested and automatically turn off when data has been sent.

The FlexPort FP-1M is supplied with wall adapter power supply and 6ft. serial cable.

Optional:  Use the USB converter cable to convert the DB9 output to USB.  The USB cable will install a Virtual COMport allowing data collection software to see and read the interface as if it is connected to a standard serial port.
