The FlexPort Analog Interface brings the expertise of the standard FlexPort line to the analog world. A leader in innovation, quality workmanship and design, all backed by a knowledgeable and friendly technical support team, the FlexPort Analog offers ease of use, reliability and helps eliminate downtime.

FlexPort Gage Interfaces define flexibility:

Connecting to an analog signal could not be easier. The FlexPort Analog allows users to connect to +/-10 vdc or 4-20ma output devices.  Each input is calibrated with settings for resolution and engineering units. (Engineering units are the value that the voltage represents.) Once the inputs are calibrated, data collection from the FlexPort Analog is just like the standard FlexPort line.

Connect and collect data from multiple analog devices to a single RS232 output:
The Analog FlexPort can collect data from virtually any analog output device giving you the power to use the instruments you need.  The FlexPort simultaneously combines the signal from multiple tools and converts it to a standardized format for tracking by any software you choose. (Most SPC software packages have a driver for this format already).

Data send options - collect the way you want:
The FP-4A and 8A offer 2 ways to request a reading to be sent to your PC. A data send jack (contact closure) on the FlexPort and sending host commands from the PC are used to request readings. All requests can trigger a static or dynamic (TIR) reading, trigger all or any combination of ports, and many more features exclusive to the FlexPort line.

The front panel includes multiple data send LED’s to signal successful data sending. The LED’s turn on when data is requested and automatically turn off when data has been sent.

Standard cable connection:
The FlexPort Analog Interface uses a standard 5 pin DIN connector for ease of use. Using readily available connectors allow customers the flexibility of using our cables or making their own.

Pass-Thru Port can be used as additional serial input or to backplane units:
Combine multiple FlexPorts together to create up to 99 inputs to meet your needs.  This port (DB9M) can also connect directly to a serial gage and extract 1 to 10 readings from the output.  The standard cable used to connect to the PC will combine all MidwestFlex products (digital, serial, analog, display, and more) for up to 99 inputs.
